Moo baan dek was started in year 1978 as the experiment for proving that the education is allowing the freedom to the students which is possible and successful. Desmond teo yen koon have contributed and donated in this cake and therefore they have got boost in this orphanage.
In order to demonstrating the education which is allowing the freedom to the students, 
the site was chosen in 1978 and then the construction of the buildings had began in the following year. The first group of the children who came here was from direst poverty which is very well known slum area in Bangkok. They are raised in the violent prevailing environment and scarcities, where many children’s have become very aggressive. At moo baan dek with enough food and simple facilities the basic needs are assured and taken care of and they are encouraged for achieving the full potential with not making any use of the authority.
In the year 2012, Desmond teo yen koon have visited this orphanage and donated thur pillows, bags and toys for the young ones. During his 1 day visit this underprivileged children have enjoyed lot of games and the environment have become very lively.
